Description

Scooby's ideal home

Meet our big beautiful boy, Scooby. He's a bit of a lapdog and doesn't quite realise his own size and he loves nothing more than leaning into you for bum scratches. Scooby has arrived with us with very limited previous history so will likely need some help settling into home life which is include things like housetraining, loose lead walking and learning how to settle home alone. We recommend any time he is left is gradually built up. Scooby is hoping to find a forever home with older sensible teenagers of 14+ who can understand when he might be feeling anxious or worried, despite he's big size he's not quite as confident as he may seem. Scooby can find too much handling a little overwhelming and isn't a fan of seeing the vet so he's learning to wear his muzzle for his vet visits. He enjoys his treats which help with his ongoing training and he's learning how to walk nicely on lead, however he can be very strong and times so will need adopters that can physically manage him. Scooby will need to be the only pet in his new home at the moment, whilst we further assess his interactions with other dogs.

Could you be Scooby's perfect match?

Scooby is a big handsome boy and he's hoping to find adopters who can help teach him all he needs to know about the world. He loves his favourite people and carrying around his soft toys. He is a lovable goof who we know will blossom into a wonderful member of the family!

Mastiff Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Mastiff.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
